Tighten all nuts and bolts<\/strong><\/p>\n

This first tip only requires a few minutes of your time. Checking all your garage door\u2019s nuts, bolts, and screws with a socket wrench every six months is an opportune way to spot loose ones. If any look worn, stripped or are simply missing, they will require professional replacement. While you\u2019re at it, it\u2019s a good idea to lubricate all moving parts, including rollers and hinges using\u00a0a high-quality silicone spray.<\/p>\n

Replace your garage door rollers<\/strong><\/p>\n

If your door is still noisy after you\u2019ve checked, tightened or replaced all its nuts and bolts, try checking its rollers. Worn out or damaged garage door rollers can be major source of noise. These are cylindrical pieces of rubber fitted with two independent screws that are installed between the motor block and the slotted metal brace used to attach the motor to the ceiling.
