July 4th Fireworks Displays

The Fourth of July – also known as Independence Day or July 4th – was declared a United States holiday in 1941, 165 years after delegates from 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson (Source: History.com). From that day forward, communities have celebrated July 4th as the birth of American Independence, with stunning fireworks displays and family friendly festivities.

Here are just seven July 4th fireworks displays happening around the valley.

Gilbert’s 4th of July Celebration

Entry is free for children under 5, or anyone showing an active military or first responder ID.

July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival

Gates open at 5pm (fireworks at 9:15pm)

Tickets start at $8 when purchased in advance, parking is $10 to $20

Entry is free for children 12 and under and anyone showing an active military ID.

Westgate Firework Fest

5:00 to 9:30pm (fireworks at 9pm)

Admission and parking are free

Have a happy and safe Fourth of July! Also, if pertinent, remember to keep your pets safe by ensuring they are comfortably secured inside during the displays.
